It was the elephant in your college dorm room. You were hungry and payday was days away. You were forced to ask the question no one wants to ask, “Will you loan me some money?”

While it’s a struggle we all have faced at one time, universities around the country have students with varying degrees of need. Now, thanks to the Ole Miss Food Bank, wanting UM students should never go hungry. With the help of student, faculty and staff volunteers and community donations, the Ole Miss Food Bank has helped to serve students in need since it opened its doors back in November.

In order to keep an ever-growing student population fed, the Ole Miss Food Bank is always looking for cash or canned donations. In fact, a $15 donation can feed one student for an entire week. If you have extra food in your pantry, the Food Bank is currently accepting donations for most non-perishable items.
