Coach Freeze speaks to Quarterback Club in Oxford.

As the Ole Miss coaches walked into the Oxford Conference Center filled with fans, they were greeted with a warm “Hotty Toddy.”

Coach Freeze talked about the recruits that they have convinced to make Oxford should their new home, and his words were followed by cheers and applause ringing out in the room.

Maurice Harris, recruiting coordinator for offense/tight ends took the stage, too, but was interrupted in the middle of his speech with a phone call from A.J. Jackson, a new tight end recruit from Georgia.  Coach Harris asked if it was legal to answer the phone call on stage, and as he did, everyone in the room erupted  with applause and cheers — giving Jackson a more that audible welcome to the Rebel family.

The Quarterback Club event at the conference centered ended with attendees savoring the season ahead with the “#5” recruiting class in the nation.
