Tuesday jam bookends Kentucky game
By Joseph Westphal
The loss to the Wildcats of Kentucky last night was a hard pill to swallow, but a few people did drown their sorrows sipping on some cold ones while listening to some great tunes at Soulshine Pizza Factory.
The evening started off with Rebels and Wildcats alike enjoying the sounds of Patrick McClary, Bill Perry, Jr., and Zechariah Lloyd Tillotson gracing the stage. The ensemble started with a rendition of “Sissy Strut” as you would expect with Mardi Gras right around the corner. As the night moved closer to our Rebel doom, the band stopped playing so everyone could watch the game.
After the debacle was over we all licked our wounds, with salt and a lime and various libations, which Stephanie the bartendress provided. Patrick and company helped keep our spirits up until the clock chimed at midnight. We will all be well as we heal ourselves getting ready for the Rebs to take down the fourth-ranked Gators on Saturday night. Hotty Toddy, Rebs!
Soulshine Pizza Factory is at 308 South Lamar Boulevard.
