Ole Miss head football coach Hugh Freeze and his coaching staff picked up their 20th commitment for the 2013 recruiting class when running back Kailo Moore, a four star according to Rivals.com  and Scout.com, picked the Rebels over Mississippi State.

Will this get the ball rolling in Ole Miss’ direction?

The Rebels are in on a lot of top prospects, and if everything goes their way, their name should be seen among the top 10 recruiting classes in the nation.

Five-star wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is expected to announce for his school of choice next Thursday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. Treadwell is leaning towards Ole Miss right now, but he will pick between the Rebels, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, who is visiting officially this weekend.

A commit from one of the nation’s top wideouts in Treadwell could do a lot for Freeze’s first full recruiting class as Treadwell seems to have some pull with a few top guys Ole Miss is in after.

After Treadwell, safety Antonio Conner, a South Panola product, could make his announcement. He is scheduled to make his announcement on Feb. 3, just days before signing day, live on ESPN, but that announcement could be pushed up or pushed back. Conner looks to be between Ole Miss and Alabama with Mississippi State and Auburn on the outside looking in.

What about defensive end Robert Nkemdiche? After all, he is the No. 1 prospect in the country.

Nkemdiche’s announcement should come on signing day when he is scheduled to commit and sign with his chosen school on ESPN’s live signing day special. Nkemdiche told reporters at the Under Armour All-American Game that he is between Ole Miss and LSU, and you have to think the Rebels are the favorite with his brother, linebacker Denzel, in Oxford.

Ole Miss is also in on a lot of other top prospects, and anything could happen (it is recruiting after all), but if Treadwell announces for the Rebels next week like many expect, that combined with today’s commitment from Moore could get a wave of good fortune heading in Ole Miss’ way with just a few short weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 6.
