Smoking Ban at OM in Effect
Violators now subject to $25 fine per infraction
Warning: The smoking ban on the Ole Miss campus is now in effect.
As of Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, the University of Mississippi will strictly enforce the smoke free campus policy approved last fall. Warnings will no longer be issued to those found smoking on campus. Instead, all violators, including faculty, staff, students, visitors, and contractors, are subject to a $25 per violation fine.
Smoking is prohibited at all times and at all locations of the University of Mississippi Oxford campus, including university-owned facilities, properties, and grounds.
