VOX Press invites the public to Off Square Books at 5:30 p.m. for the launch of A Short Ride: Remembering Barry Hannah.
Special guests will include authors Maude Schuyler Clay, Jim Dees, Ron Shapiro, David Shirley, Louis Bourgeois, Neil White, Glennray Tutor, Robin Rushing, Tyler Keith, Ann Fisher-Wirth, Jimmy Tighe, and others.
With a forword by Neil White, A Short Ride: Remembering Barry Hannah consists of 30-plus essays celebrating the spectacular life of Barry Hannah. Contributors include Brad Watson, Dan Williams, Ron Shapiro, Jim Dees, M.O. Walsh, and Glennray Tutor. Plus, it features never-before-seen interviews with America’s short story master. VOX Press, Inc. was founded as a literary journal by poet Louis E. Bourgeois and Oxford American editor Jimmy Pitts in 2004. Since its inception, VOX has been hard at work on multiple literary journal and book projects and created the highly successful VOX Artist’s Series featuring the likes of Neil White, John Brandon, Glennray Tutor, and Barry Hannah.
