The sweep of the Razorbacks was the first in a three-game SEC series for the Rebels since the 2012 season when Ole Miss swept the South Carolina Gamecocks to close the year. It is also the first sweep of an SEC team on the road in a three-game series since the 2005 season when the Rebels closed the year with a sweep of the Razorbacks.

Brown hit an impressive .727 on the week as the Rebels went undefeated and ran the active win streak to six consecutive games – five in Southeastern Conference play – and posted back-to-back wins in a SEC series for the first time since the 2008 season.

The senior for Los Alamitos, California, went 8-for-11 at the plate with four runs scored, four RBI and did not strike out on the week to lead the Rebels to the wins.

Brown hit a three-run home run in the series-opening win at Arkansas to put the Rebels on top for good as Ole Miss picked up a 7-3 win over the Razorbacks and went 4-for-4 at the plate in the contest. She then drove in the game-tying run with an RBI double in the sixth inning of game two – a game that would eventually be decided in extra innings. Brown drew a walk that represented the go-ahead run in the eighth inning of that series-clinching win over the Razorbacks.

She posted an .833 on base percentage for the series against Arkansas and an .800 on base percentage on the week as she reached base 12 times in 15 plate appearances with three walks and an HBP to go along with her eight hits.

Brown and the Rebels return to action with four games this week, beginning with a single game at home against UT-Martin at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Ole Miss will then continue conference play on the road with a three-game series at No. 1 LSU that begins on Friday.
