University of Mississippi alum Ray Meifert has captured the winning spirit of the Ole Miss Rebels football team in a recent painting.

An Edina, Minnesota, resident and the president of the Twin Cities Rebel Club, Meifert’s artist portfolio includes paintings of Patriots/Dallas Cowboys running backs Laurence Maroney and Marion Barber.

Meifert’s work has been displayed at Taylor P.O. Gallery in Taylor, Mississippi, The Ravine restaurant in Oxford, J. Clayton’s in Water Valley, Mississippi, the University of Mississippi Museum, Elmhurst Art Museum in Elmhurst, Illinois, the Edina Art Gallery in Edina, Minnesota, and the University of Illinois at Chicago’s The Health in the Arts Gallery.

“The helmet in the air captures the pageantry of how a winning season can be timeless,” said Meifert, a marketing and sales management professional with the 3M companies for more than 25 years.

Ole Miss fans can order prints of the painting titled, “Hell Yes!” at Meifert’s Web Site. The address is www.rameifert.com.
