Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three disturbances, four illegally parked cars, malicious mischief, complaint of lost property, house burglary – N. 11th Street, shoplifting, eight alarms, noise violation, reported DUI, animal complaint, trespassing, civil matter, two 911 hang ups, code violation – trash accumulation, harassing phone calls

Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 70 traffic citations and made 12 arrests on the following charges:

Careless Driving, Suspended Driver’s License & DUI
Speeding & DUI
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Open Container
Careless Driving & MIP

Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: One accident, five alarms, animal complaint, disturbance, two juvenile complaints, six service calls, three suspicious activities, two civil matters, one accidental death.

Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrest on the following charge:
Driving with suspended driver’s license

University police responded to the following incidents:  Two vehicle stops, possession of paraphernalia at Residential College, assist with traffic, suspicious person at Residential College, DUI at Fraternity Row, Intoxicated Driver at Fraternity Row, Motor vehicle accident – Hit N Run at Tad Smith Coliseum

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Public service at 7:15 a.m. at 119 Chestnut St. #62
Call cancelled at 9:27 a.m. at 812 Lincoln Ave.
Smoke in an apartment at 10:23 a.m. due to water boiling over onto the stove eye at Canterbury Crest #108
Extrication call at 6:05 p.m. at 452 County Road 101
