Every athlete dreams of one day competing on the world’s largest stage: the Olympics.

The 31st Olympiad is well under way in Rio with competitors from all across the world coming together. Eight Ole Miss athletes are making their mark among thousands of competitors.

Ole Miss fans get ready to watch these current and former student-athletes as they represent their country and university with honor.

Today began with Raven Sanders and Gwen Berry competing in the women’s shot put and the women’s hammer throw respectively. Sanders qualified for the finals tonight at 8 p.m. CST

Anthony Perez will also take the court tonight with the Venezuelan basketball team as the men’s team faces France.

Oxford’s own Sam Kendricks will seek new heights on Saturday evening at 6:20 p.m. in Group A to qualify for pole vaulting finals next Monday night. There will be a watch party on Saturday and Monday for Kendricks at Rafters on the Square.
