Breaking News: Rebel Freshman Football Player Arrested For Domestic Violence
Freshman Rebel defensive end Charles Wiley was arrested yesterday and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center. According to Lafayette County Detention Center, he is still there and is currently talking to a bondsman at 10:55 a.m..
Wiley is a 6’2″ 240-pound four-star recruit from Stockbridge, Georgia who chose the Rebels over Auburn, Clemson, Georgia among other suitors.

According to a member of the Oxford Police Department Wiley was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence. There was a female arrested at the same residence for the same charge. The arrest took place around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Statement from Coach Freeze: “We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities responsible for the matter. Charles is being withheld from all team activities while the process moves forward. We take incidents like this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of actions is complete.”

Wiley was released from jail at 11 a.m. Wiley will appear in municipal court, and further information concerning that appearance cannot be released by the Municipal Court. A female, Legend Fultz, was arrested at the same time as Wiley and by the same officer for misdemeanor domestic violence.
