Top Headlines: Two Ole Miss Alumni Compete for Love on ‘The Bachelorette’
Footage of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” was viewed via Hulu and recorded on IPhone.
Widely-popular reality show ‘The Bachelorette’ began last night with two University of Mississippi alumni among the 26 contestants: Wells Adams and Nicholas Benvenutti.
Currently hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Wells Adams is a radio DJ who is the morning show host on ALT983 and the afternoon drive host on 1059 The Rock. Ole Miss Alumni Association reports that Adams graduated from University of Mississippi in 2007.
According to his bio on The Bachelorette’s website, Wells Adams describes his idea of the ultimate date: “Really good tacos, a great live band, a walk around the city, and wine and cheese on my front porch as Otis Redding plays on my turn table.”
Adams made the strongest first impression during the premiere last night when he brought an acapella to woo the Bachelorette, Joelle Fletcher. Funnily, the man who declared that Adams was “leading the pack” is Jordan Rodgers, former Vanderbilt quarterback who dealt Ole Miss a crushing loss by one point at the November 2012 game. Let’s give Adams a Hotty Toddy for getting a little revenge in for the Ole Miss family!
Nicholas Benvenutti is an electrical engineer who graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2005. He is also a rugby player.
Benvenutti reveals his greatest achievement on The Bachelorette’s website: “Making the Classic Eagles rugby team while continuing to advance my own career.”
Like Adams, Benvenutti made an original first impression during the premiere when he showed up as jolly ol’ Saint Nick. Although the other contestants weren’t impressed, we at HottyToddy.com love that Benvenutti was bold enough to bring merriment that night. Hotty Toddy!
The woman whose love Adams and Benvenutti will be fighting for is Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher. She previously appeared on Ben Higgins’ season of “The Bachelor” as one of the last two women before Higgins chose another. JoJo, who is only 25 years old, returned home to Dallas, Texas where she runs her own business in real estate development as she builds homes and rents to students in the Waco area.
We wish good luck to all 26 suitors, and give a loud “Hotty Toddy!” for Wells Adams and Nicholas Benvenutti. Y’all make Ole Miss proud!
