Vassallo: Young Entrepreneurs Keeping Us Healthy Seven Days A Week

boneheads 1

Ashley Wisch and Chris Bramlett have one of Oxford’s newest restaurants, Boneheads, on West Jackson that is certainly turning heads. The youthful business owners are validating that age is secondary to passion and experience. Here is their story.

HottyToddy.com: Ashley, please share with our readers a little about your background.

Ashley Wisch: I grew up in Memphis where I attended WhiteStation High School. I graduated from the University of Memphis in International Business in 2013. WhiteStation is a great public high school. I have always held a passion for health and fitness.

HottyToddy.com: And what about Chris?

Ashley Wisch: Chris also grew up in Memphis. In 1985 his father started a staffing business which Chris has carried on. We met in 2012 when I was working in a boutique. We have also owned another business together prior to Boneheads.

HottyToddy.com: What has been your Oxford experience thus far?

Ashley Wisch: This town is amazing. The people here are wonderful and are basically of the same mindset that we are, that is eating to stay healthy.

HottyToddy.com: What sets Boneheads apart from the other eating establishments?

Ashley Wisch: Great food, fast and affordable. We also have extraordinary customer service!

HottyToddy.com: You also feature a full service bar.

Ashley Wisch: Yes, we opened the bar in December to be competitive as many of our customers enjoy a cocktail before/after their dining experience with us.

HottyToddy.com: We understand that a catering component is part of your business.

Ashley Wisch: This is a major part of our business that we love doing. We will tailor a menu to fit the needs of the client. And we will travel up to “two” hours to satisfy the demand. You can visit our catering menu online by visiting BoneheadOxford.com.

HottyToddy.com: Your youthfulness clearly makes you two business owners unique.

Ashley Wisch: Chris has worked in his family business since he was 20 where he is now COO and also is a pilot (his other passion besides business)! I began working at age 15 where I was the hostess for Old Venice. Up until a year ago I also owned a boutique. The restaurant industry is much more volatile. Chic-Fil-A has been a great role model for us.

HottyToddy.com: Why Oxford for your latest business venture?

Ashley Wisch: Oxford has a growing economy, a youthful vibe, and will continue to grow in coming years. We are glad to be apart of the growth, and we aren’t done yet.

HottyToddy.com: What are your top goals for 2016?

Ashley Wisch: We want to be known for having one of the very best fast casual restaurants in Oxford. We are excited to have some fun events on our large patio this spring, as well as grow our Fit Fresh Go Meal preparation. When people think about getting fit, working out, our just eating right, we want them to think Boneheads!

HottyToddy.com: What do you see as your biggest challenge this year?

Ashley Wisch: Having people understand our concept, at first I think there was some misconception of what we actually offered. You can come straight from class in your sweats or can come dressed well and enjoy some great food over a glass of wine. We offer different experiences to satisfy any age or taste.

HottyToddy.com: Who is your targeted audience?

Ashley Wisch: Boneheads appeals to a broad audience inclusive of students, couples, families and seniors. We have many specials throughout the week for everyone, whether it be someone wanting great food, drinks, or a healthy meal plan…we cater to everyone. We are open 11-9 seven days a week.

HottyToddy.com: You don’t miss a trick. Sum up your Mission Statement for us.

Ashley Wisch: To provide Oxford’s residents a healthy alternative at an affordable price in a fast, casual setting.

HottyToddy.com: Oxford apparently was the right choice.

Ashley Wisch: We love the market here as it is a great place to grow a healthy business. HottyToddy!

HottyToddy.com: What did we forget to ask you?

Ashley Wisch: We emphasize giving back to community. We believe everything comes back full circle. Faith is important to us, very important!

Wow! These two nonstop go-getters are something else! Their work ethic is so refreshing for their youthfulness. Because of this they could be successful in almost anything. I have dined at Boneheads on numerous occasions and enjoy it more with each visit. Ashley and Chris have success written all over them and after one experiences their environment, you will quickly realize why!
