Shelter Yourself – Custom Valentine’s Day Cards Made Easy
On Wednesday, February 10, Oxford and Water Valley’s favorite art advocate, Andi Bedsworth of Art To Go notoriety, will help make your Valentine’s Day trepidation a little less by offering help with those pesky cards associated with the approaching holiday.
Bedsworth will park herself (shelter herself, if you will) at the Shelter on Van Buren with supplies in hand to aide you in designing a custom collage card for your sweetheart. And, good news for the guys; there will be no sewing involved.
Bedsworth will also have pre-made cards in tow for those of us who may be challenged in the arts and crafts universe. Pre-made custom cards range from $4-$5 with handmade cards that patrons design themselves only costing $3 (which is a bargain considering all supplies will be provided).
The “make it and take it” event is designed to be “come and go” which should appeal to those with busy schedules and little time to spend on the card portion of the “holiday.” After all; there will undoubtedly be a visit to one of Oxford’s fine jewelers in order, as well. Just think of it as “bling” for your handsome and thoughtful handmade card.
The event, geared for adults, will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the Shelter on Van Buren where a variety of food and drink can be purchased while you toil over your project.
