Oxford Maker’s Market Hosts Last Event for 2015
The Oxford Maker’s Market, a local arts and crafts market that occurs every first Saturday, will be at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center December 5.
From 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. the Oxford Maker’s Market will have 20 vendors offering diverse handmade and homegrown goods to enjoy for this holiday season. The children will have their own art market area as well with five vendors.
The organization will provide $3 tickets for a raffle for a gift basket full of creations donated by local vendors with all proceeds benefiting the Interfaith Compassionate Ministries. ICM helps the homeless and the needy by providing the basic necessities: food, shelter, utilities, prescription medication and transportation.
Life Long Productions will be there to create video holiday greeting cards that many can email to their families and loved ones.
Starting at noon, The Kites, a local husband-and-wife duo, will provide a lovely ambience as the locals enjoy shopping for that one-of-a-kind Oxonian gift for those who love Oxford and Ole Miss. The shoppers will be provided a free cup of hot chocolate!
Towards the end of this Saturday’s market, the Oxford Ballet School is performing The Nutcracker at 6:30 p.m.
