Ole Miss-Arkansas Selected for CBS 2:30 Kickoff
Ole Miss’ Nov. 7 home game against SEC West foe Arkansas has been selected by CBS for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff, it was announced Monday.
The game will be the first of the year for the Rebels on CBS. Their last appearance on the national network was last year’s Egg Bowl against Mississippi State.
Ole Miss has a 2-3 record in games televised by CBS since Hugh Freeze arrived as head coach in 2012. Those two wins were memorable ones, though. Ole Miss upended No. 1 Alabama 23-17 and took down No. 4 Mississippi State 31-17 last year in Oxford.
All eight of the Rebels’ games this year have been televised by the ESPN/ABC family of networks, including this upcoming Saturday’s ESPN showdown on the Plains between No. 19 Ole Miss (6-2, 3-1 SEC) and Auburn (4-3, 1-3 SEC). The Rebels will look to avenge last year’s devastating 35-31 loss to the Tigers that derailed the team’s chances to make the inaugural College Football Playoff.
