Rebel fans will have several opportunities to see the Ole Miss volleyball team in action in 2015 not only at home, but with six matches set to be televised on the SEC Network and one on ESPNU.
Ole Miss, who posted its best record in seven years in 2014 (22-10) was on television five times last year.
The team’s SEC home opener on Sept. 27 against arch-rival Mississippi State will be televised on the SEC Network at 2 p.m. For the second straight year, the Rebels and Tigers of LSU will square off in Oxford on the SEC Network, Sunday Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
The Rebels’ Oct. 4 match at Texas A&M (1 p.m.), the Oct. 18 match at Arkansas (4 p.m.), the Nov. 1 match at South Carolina (12 p.m.) and the Nov. 25 match at Alabama will also be televised on the SEC Network.
Ole Miss will face Georgia in Athens on ESPNU, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. CT.
The Rebels return six of seven starters from last year. Nakeyta Clair became the first All-American since 2011 and set the school record for kills in a season with 366. Aubrey Edie set the single season record for assists with 1,322, and Melanie Crow set the single season record for aces with 42. Lexi Thompson had the most kills (323) in a season by a freshman.
In addition, the Rebels will welcome seven new players to the team, who are set to arrive for the second summer term.
